Dr. Paul A. Turner, Jr., Founder of CHOICE-BHM, is a Detroit native whose life journey reflects transformation, resilience, and purpose. After facing significant legal challenges as a young man, he used that experience as a turning point to change his path and dedicate his life to helping others.

In 1997, he founded CHOICE Behavioral Health Management to provide prevention, intervention, and behavioral health services for youth and adults. Through programs focused on anger management, domestic violence intervention, and substance use prevention, Dr. Turner has helped countless individuals break cycles and build better futures.

His work is grounded in a simple belief: your past does not define your future—the choices you make do.
